Vivian's Bunco ...............???

In the lovely month of May we celebrated

Vivian's Bunco

Peggy's 2nd Bunco

Peggy usually hosts our marvelous Christmas bunco, but this May

Peggy hosted bunco for the second time this year.  Vivian, our lovely

matriarch has not been feeling well, and was not able to host,

so Peggy, being the wonderful friend and neighbor she is

offered her services

What a wonderful time we had, starting with beverages on her lovely porch.

or at least a few of us did.  Isn't this

lovely with the string of lights?

Peggy cooked for us too.  

I was a little late so I didn't get a good

picture of her delicious food, but I did get to eat it.

She made several delicious quiches, salad, rolls and

much more.....and oh so scrumptious

It was a fun and silly night...

My guess would be they were putting a hex on me for

taking pictures.

it was not so good.

No, that wasn't it. 

I think we were drawing bachelors out of the hat for our

Bachelorette pool.

It was extremely serious business and very official.

I just wish I had gotten better bachelors.  I heard last night

that Diana might have gotten one of the better potential picks

Here is our resident bag lady...that's right ... Shelley

Shelley's goal was to see how much she could carry from table to table

Next time we may want to give her a shopping cart.

(Really Shelley, you don't have to carry your purse all evening)

She gives two fisted drinker a whole new meaning.

We also had some bell issues...actually we had dice issues too. 

Tammie someone, I won't name names

forgot to bring the bunco bag.

This bell worked just fine though.

I can't be sure...but I am thinking Debbie's watching Shelley carry

her purse from table to table...either that

or maybe she is wanting Diana's bachelor pick.

Charissa's April Bunco

I know, and you know I am talking to all

of you out there that are not reading this Bunco Blog, I have

been a slacker again.

In April we enjoyed a delightful bunco party at

Charissa's

As always, Charissa was an excellent hostess.

Charissa is extremely creative and all of the gifts were

wrapped in the most charming way.

She even made her own wrapping paper on her computer

Seeing Green - Tammies March Bunco

Bunco time at Tammies

Another terrific bunco bites the dust.  Tammie

hosted our March St. Patrick's Day Bunco

and boy were we seeing green.  But I get ahead of

myself.  We were greeted by Tammie's

smiling face as we arrived

Tammie had originally scheduled this bunco in time to

celebrate St. Patrick's Day...but as any good Irishman knows

you don't need no stink'in day to celebrate...any day will do.

So with the green, came the fun....

and of course we needed food...

and Tammie

did not disappoint.  She provided

us with a Mexican feast.

Green never looked so good

Hooray for Hollywood and Katina ..........

 Hollywood put on the glitz and glamour last night
and so did Katina (and Mike)



We had a great time at Katina's for Oscar night on Sunday.
Mike is such a great sport, he is always there
when we arrive, helping us carry things in, and
welcoming us into his home.  He even took the time to
choose a star to put on our back.  Who do you think
this was?

We had to ask yes and no questions

to guess which Oscar winner we had on our backs.

I got mine in 2 questions.
I was the lovely and talented Julia Roberts.

We oogled the many gowns, and jewels, which
were amazingly classic and beautiful this year.
We did have a few favorites as well as
some we didn't care for. 
Perhaps the ladies will comment on their favs
or perhaps not.

As usual the array of food was unbelievable...here is

Peggy baked us an assortment of delicious cookies with a special

guest making a special appearance

(oh sorry wrong end...no pun intended)

We are always so happy to see each

other it is a chatter fest. 

There were even a few nail biting moments waiting for some

of the Oscar winners to be named

I think we were all pretty happy with the winners (and losers)

It is always so much fun to watch the AA together.

Alas, as soon as it began ....it was over and home we went.

I am curious though, how did everyone

like the show.  Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin?

Tammie New Bunco Date

Tammie changed her bunco

to later in March....I am thinking

March 25th but I will double check.

I guess I am a bad listener

Pasta Fusilli - by Patty

Pasta Fusilli

from the warmth and goodness of Patty

1 1b salad macaroni

1 lb white beans (great northern or cannellini)

4 quarts of water

1 cup olive oil (wowser)

3 T minced garlic

2 T tomato paste

2 T salt

1/2 t dried basil

1/2 t oregano

Parmesean cheese

Black pepper

Boil beans in 4 qts water high for 15 minutes

Add all other ingredients except cheese and pasta

Boil 1 1/2 hours

Make pasta and add seperately

Add right before serving

Add cheese
