Katina's Fall Fling

In November we celebrated Katina's Fall Fling.  Katina went all out for us, not only did her house look maaavellous, and full of Fall decor...but even puppies had Fall ribbons in their hair

(or on their ears)

Katina cooked for us and I will be posting her delicious recipe.

Recipes we all are waiting for.

Cynthia's Garlic Bread

1 loaf of french bread (split in half lengthwise)

2 sticks butter

2 cloves garlic (I like more)

2 Tbs. parmesean cheese

1 Tbs. hot sauce

2 Tbs scallions

soften butter and add all ingredients. blend well and spread on bread.  Broil about 4 minutes.  Yummy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peggy’s Christmas Bunco

I see that I have been a slacker keeping current with our Bunco blog. Perhaps if I had a following….maybe some readers…maybe one reader, I would be motivated. I am but a simple person and it takes no more than one (that’s right one) pat on the back to encourage me to keep this blog current.

But alas….nothing.

Now that I am over not being appreciated I shall continue with the Christmas Bunco post.

Christmas Past

In the past, as you all remember, we would meet at the Mission Inn for $10.00 Lemon Drops and then dine for a mere $75.00 dinner on the patio…enjoying bad service and being required to open our own bottles of wine (under the table) so as not to add a $60.00 corkage fee to our meal.

We were forced to refer to ourselves as retired strippers or

as a red hat club.

Oh those were the days.

NOT!!

Christmas Present

We have gotton smarter in our old age….some of us older than others …. (I’m just saying).  

Bunco dinner is now a group project.

Peggy, our hostess, sets a table fit for 12 (or 13) Queens of royal lineage. She gives us glitz, sparkle, bling and elegance.

Let me refresh your memories.

and we haven't even gotten to the food yet.

Our table was set for 13 pajama clad ladies.

I think this may have been my placesetting. 

I think it was nicer and more special then everyone elses.

We ate (and ate, and ate)

There are a few recipes from this night.  Cynthia's
delicious garlic bread recipe will follow this post.

 and we need Patty's pasta fusuli soup recipe.

Every one of our ladies prepared and brought an Italian dish...creating

quite the Italian feast.

and we drank

and were merry...after all it was Christmas bunco

and Katina shared an intimate moment with Diana's roach. It did

not go un-noticed by Esoryram that the Roach

seat was the last to be filled.

Roaches are so misunderstood.

and Peggy... I am surprised Mr. Bones ended

up with his lovely gem intact.

Cynthia.... beware ... I saw Frankie giving
the eye to another... I wonder who?

The food was to "Die" for... thank you all for your
delicious donations.


Lisa shared a lovely beverage with Esoryram and she appreciated that.
Tracy came all the way from Oregon to join us.

Cynthia looks like she had fun (if we can only keep her away from Frankie)

Gather one and all for Bunco, Feast and Tricks
Our meeting will be on the 29th at the witching hour of Six

Bring your wits, and don’t worry I won’t bite
But be prepared for a delightful fright

While dressing remember to take great care
This is definitely an orange and black affair

Beware the spider as you make your approach
And look for Diana’s lovely pet roach

Your fate is in my hands as I impatiently wait
But don’t despair for I know it will be great.
